September Events

Happy September, City Parish! We’ve got some exciting things coming up that we wanted to remind everyone of…

City Parish is partnering with hundreds of churches from across the Bay Area and Transforming the Bay with Christ (TBC) in bringing Explore God to the Bay Area. Explore God is a phenomenal opportunity to put a concerted effort to answer some of humanity’s greatest questions (and barriers) to the Christian gospel. We start Sunday, September 24! Invite anyone and everyone and if you aren’t already, now is the perfect time to connect with an MC and start plugging into a weekly Family Meal!

City Parish is celebrating 5 years as a church this month. We can think of no greater way to celebrate and to commemorate all that the Lord has done, is doing, and will do than to commission our first, non-staff elder. For anyone that’s been a part of City Parish or currently is, please join us Sunday, September 17 as we gather together to thank the Lord for and pray over Joe Button, his wife, Amy, and their family as Joe becomes an elder of City Parish.

Explore God mostly focuses on an 8-week teaching series followed up with weekly discussion groups, but something that TBC’s creative geniuses came up with was a Serve Weekend. City Parish will be partnering with St. John’s Anglican to do a service project on Sunday, September 24 immediately following the gatherings. We’ll have a quick lunch together and then get to work cleaning up and working around the campus of McDowell Elementary! Sign up here!
